Hi I’m Kate,
I began this blog to take the fear and frustration out of cooking with dietary restrictions. I have navigated the terrain of gluten-free shopping and cooking since I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2002, and I know how it can really take the fun out of being in the kitchen. Over time I developed recipes of my own as well as gluten-free versions of some of my favorite meals from before the diagnosis. From there I have added options for making most of the recipes dairy free, egg free or vegan to help those around me who felt that they would miss out on their favorites as well.
I believe that delicious foods can be created regardless of dietary needs as long as you’ve got some creativity, tenacity, and willingness to make small mistakes and big messes along the way. Luckily, I am doing the legwork for you, and I’m here to share my experience, recipe developments, product reviews and the adventure of creating a blog and brand.
